You and Me!!

Following is a poem i wrote for my didi on her b'day last year. I am posting it because this one is really close to my heart.

Tonight, I sit,

Peacefully,
Thinking about you and me!!

I think of the times,
When we laughed together,
And the world felt isolated,
Cause we had our secret jokes,
Only between you and me!!








I take pride of the times,
Accompanied by poignant memories,
How we stood by each other,
And took the world by surprise,
Cause we shared faith,
The trust between you and me!!

I enjoy the most now,
When I remember our petty fights,
We yelled like one hated the other,
But always seen together,
Cause the world could not see,
The invisible bond between you and me!!

I chuckle remembering all the misdeeds,
Done by one but we shared the blame for,
Cause there is an unwritten rule,
An agreement between you and me!!

Now, I make a wish…
You get the best,
And I wish the best for me…
Hope together we keep fooling the world,
And remain the same
